The five-storey building, situated in Accra, is the national Headquarters of Nigeria’s biggest financial institution by total assets. Absolute coplanarity and minimalism best describe its design. The project team stressed the importance of eliminating the sight of aluminium profiles and the visual contrast between vision and aluminium composite panels. This was successfully executed by utilizing Schüco mullions and transoms curtain walling system throughout the surface of the building envelope, slightly modifying the fixing levels externally to accommodate for a smooth insertion of the larson panels. The internal partitions are perfectly integrated with the modular system of the façade, and can be easily remoduled to fit new interior designs over time. Access to the building is granted by a revolving and sliding door, also perfectly integrated to the curtain walling system.
